Hogwarts School

Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is the most famous wizarding school in the world. Located in the Scottish Highlands, it has educated witches and wizards for over a thousand years.

The four houses

New students are sorted by the Sorting Hat into Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff, or Ravenclaw.

School year

Students start at age 11 and attend for seven years. The Hogwarts Express departs from Platform 9 3/4 on September 1st each year.
