A member of the Falmouth Falcons Quidditch Team, in 1929 Basil Horton and his teammate Randolph Keitch founded the Comet Trading Company which sold Quidditch brooms. Together, they invented the Horton-Keitch Braking Charm, which was used to slow brooms more precisely, and stop players flying offside by mistake.
