The Mending Charm was a spell used to seamlessly mend or repair damaged and broken items. It was invented by Orabella Nuttley, a witch who worked in the Improper Use of Magic Office, to repair the Colosseum after a duel following a broom race.

While this spell worked on most materials and most types of damage, some Dark magic damage could not be repaired, such as that caused by Fiendfyre, and it could not repair complex magical items, such as wands or the Vanishing Cabinets. This spell also notably did not work well on clothing.
