Moly was a magical plant which could be used to counteract enchantments when eated. It was also an ingredient in the Wiggenweld Potion. Students at Hogwarts learnt about this plant in 6th year.

This plant also featured in the Greek Odyssey, where Odysseus used it to resist Circe's magic.
