Chinese Chomping Cabbages are magical, sentient plants. Their sharp teeth mean they can chew on things (with carrots being a favourite), and without anything to chomp, they became quite irritable and prone to attacking people. As well as their use in offence, they are also a key ingredient in the Skele-Gro Potion.

In the 19th Century, a Dark wizard attempted a hostile takeover of the Ministry of Magic armed with Chinese Chomping Cabbages. He was thankfully stopped by Auror Helen Thistlewood, who combatted them with Bouncing Bulbs.
