From the Portuguese words "castelo" and "bruxo", Castelobruxo literally translates to "wizard castle" and is the eminent school of magic in South America. The school was said to be over a thousand years old, guarded by caipora, and bewitched to look like a ruin to Muggles, much like Hogwarts. Despite debate over who had this idea first, Castelobruxo and Hogwarts were on good terms, accepting exchange students like Alanza Alves.
Famous alumni include prominent Magizoologists, Potioneers, and Herbologists, including Libatius Borage, author of 'Advanced Potion-Making'.
The uniforms at Castelobruxo were bright green. They had yellow lines outlining them, red rings on the upper sleeves, and a stripe of yellow and blue triangles up the hem, with two tassels the same colour attached.
