The Boggart, also called the Boggle, is an amortal spirit which hides in the darkest of areas, often leaving an eerie feeling in the air wherever they may lurk. They don't physically attack in their true form, but they do shapeshift into a person's worst fear, or fears. Due to this, not one person has ever seen the true form of a Boggart. The moment they are exposed to human presence, they transform quickly.
Although a Boggart may transform into dangerous people or creatures, they cannot perform skills to the same degree, and they continue to be a Boggart at their core. While it cannot be confirmed that there is no danger with each and every form, the biggest threat and risk to life is simply fear itself. Boggarts have ventured into muggle spaces, although these aren't seen properly by them, but they can still cause them to feel frightened.
If facing a Boggart, it is advised to confront it with at least one other person, where possible. A Boggart can only take on one form at a time, and it can get confused with multiple minds. These spirits can be pushed back and repelled by the Boggart-Banishing Spell, which alters the appearance to cause laughter instead of fear. It does need to be noted that due to these spirits being amortal, they can only be repelled and cannot be destroyed.
