Bill Weasley is the eldest child of Arthur and Molly Weasley, and something of a genius with his academics. Working as a curse-breaker for Gringotts, he wasn't home much in the early years but became a powerful ally during the Second Wizarding War and found love along the way as well. Bill was seen as very laid-back, but he got serious when he needed to, especially when it came to protecting his family.

William "Bill" Weasley was the firstborn child to Arthur and Molly Weasley. He grew up in 'The Burrow', the Weasley family home just outside Ottery St Catchpole in Devon. Bill was homeschooled prior to Hogwarts with his six younger siblings, by their mother, Molly Weasley. Bill was still young when the First Wizarding War was happening around him, growing up with the war and his parents being members of the original Order. It was only a year after Lord Voldemort's downfall that he started Hogwarts, in 1982, and was sorted into Gryffindor.
Despite Bill's famously laid-back attitude to life, he took his studies seriously and managed to obtain an astonishing twelve O.W.Ls by the end of his fifth year, along with being made prefect. Later, he also gained Head Boy, proving his popularity, along with his skills. He was one of only a small number of people who gained the 'Medal for Magical Merit', which is displayed in the Trophy Room at Hogwarts.
Following his graduation, Bill applied for and got a job as a Curse-Breaker for Gringotts in 1989. He was enjoying travelling around as part of the job. In 1993 when Arthur Weasley won the Galleon Draw from the Daily Prophet, the family went to Egypt, where Bill took them on a tour around the tombs. It wasn't until 1994, for the Quidditch World Cup Final, that Bill came home to watch the match. He aided the Ministry during the Death Eater's storming the place after the game. He even escorted his family, along with Harry Potter and Hermione Granger, to the train station when it came for them to return to the school.
Bill continued to remain as a spectator during the Triwizard Tournament, and he was the first to contact his father following Cedric Diggory's death and the return of Lord Voldemort.
It was during the Triwizard Tournament that Bill Weasley first met his future wife, Fleur Delacour. Following the Tournament, Fleur got a part-time job at Gringotts after leaving Beauxbatons. Bill applied for an office job back on this side of the world - still at Gringotts - as he wanted to support his family and the Order with the return of Lord Voldemort. With Bill and Fleur working closely together, the pair were dating and engaged by the middle of 1996.
The following Summer, 1997, Bill was badly wounded by one of Voldemort's men, Fenrir Greyback. Greyback attacked Bill during the Battle of the Astronomy Tower, while Bill was patrolling the Hogwart Grounds under Dumbledore's orders. Although Greyback was a known werewolf, he attacked in an untransformed state, meaning that Bill did not become a werewolf himself. The scars he obtained on his face were cursed, however, and would never fully heal properly. Just a month later, Bill and Fleur aided Harry Potter in escaping Privet Drive the night his trace disappeared, and it was Bill who witnessed the murder of Alastor Moody.
Bill Weasley and Fleur Delacour married in the middle of war, on 1st August 1997, at The Burrow. They later moved into their own place, Shell Cottage. Shell Cottage would become an important location during the war, as a refuge for Harry Potter and his friends during the hunt for the Horcruxes, along with the final resting place for Dobby. Bill ended up as the secret-keeper for Shell Cottage, as his family went into hiding in the midst of the war.
Bill Weasley responded to the summons for the Battle of Hogwarts, where he and his wife entered the school via the Room of Requirement. Although they both fought and survived, he lost one of his younger brothers - Fred Weasley - during the final battle.
Bill and Fleur welcomed three children following the end of the war. Victorie Weasley, the eldest daughter who was born on the anniversary of the war ending. She was followed by their second daughter, Dominique Weasley, and their only son, Louis Weasley.
Bill Weasley returned to his former adventures with curse-breaking, going back to Egypt at times, but still returning home frequently.
