The Knight Bus was a purple triple decker bus that could be summoned by sticking their wand hand in the air, or by booking tickets in advance. The bus could travel at high speeds and morph its environment to ensure obstacles were out of the way, and it could squeeze through small spaces.

It was commissioned in 1865 by the Minister of Magic at the time, Dougald McPhail, and remains under the operation of the Department of Magical Transportation. A ride costs 11 sickles.

The only known driver of the Knight Bus is Ernie Prang, and the conductor at the same time was Stan Shunpike.
