Overview
Ollivanders was a wand shop owned by the Ollivander family, reputed to be the best wandmakers in the UK. Founded in 382 BC, the shop's main branch was in Diagon Alley with a second branch in Hogsmeade.
The shop's physical exterior was described as being narrow and shabby, with a single wand on display in the window. The interior was described as being a tiny, dusty space, with thousands of wands in boxes stacked up inside.
During the Second Wizarding War, Garrick Ollivander was kidnapped by Death Eaters and the shop was abandoned and boarded up. The shop reopened after the war ended.
