Overview
The Unlocking Charm, sometimes known as the Thief's Friend, is a spell used to unlock doors and objects. Eldon Elsrickle, a wizarding thief, was taught this spell in Africa, and used this spell to steal from both Muggle and Wizarding homes, until Blagdon Blay invented the Anti-Alohomora Charm.
Less subtle spells used over the years to unlock doors include Portaberto, used to break locks in doors, and Open Sesame, which ripped doors apart.
