Now, my next recipe will be...

To begin with, I think we're going to need the ingredients...yes...that may be a good idea. SO, the things that you are going to need in order to make this caaake are...

  • 200g of Caster Sugar
  • 200g of Unsalted Butter
  • 4 Eggs
  • 200g of Self-Raising Flour
  • 2 Tea Spoons of Cocoa Powderr
  • 1 Tea Spoon of Baking Powder
  • 1/2 a Tea Spoon of Vanilla Extract
  • 2 Table Spoons of Milk
  • If you have any dietary requirements then you can substitue some of these ingredients for ones that they may have in the store to suit your needs. For example, changing normal butter into dairy butter for those who cannot have ordinary milk.

And now for the messy part, the baking!

Firstly, you will need to make sure that all the ingredients have been measured out accurately. Once this is done, heat the oven to 190C/170C fan/gas 5 and stick some butter around the edge and at the bottom of the baking tin!

Secondly, in a bowl beat together 200g golden caster sugar, 200g softened unsalted butter, 4 large eggs, 200g self-raising flour, 2 tbsp cocoa powder, 1 tsp baking powder, ½ tsp vanilla extract, 2 tbsp milk and a pinch of salt until the mixture is a pale colour

Once this is done, you will need to divide the mixture between the prepared tins. Bake for 20 mins or until a skewer inserted into the centre of the cake comes out clean.
