First of all, I would like to welcome you all to the blog! And second of all I would like to say how happy I am to be here and to work with the beautiful boysenberries, to promote WoP and be pee yellow!
Next up, I hope you are all ready to get some more blog posts out there, and to read all sorts of funny stuff regarding the team, site and IRL life. For the first post, and my Wednesday post (Every other week) I have decided to do some World of Potter lifehacks. How to rise in level? How to post images on other peoples walls? How to do bold, cursive, striked, and underlined text in topics, wallposts etc. So lets get to it! Here's the first three lifehacks I have for you guys.
LIFEHACK NUMBER 1: Images, effects and other goodies on wallposts.
You've seen the teachers, leaders, students etc. do it, but you have yet to figure out how! Well fear not little one, I am here to help. No matter what you want to post on someones wall, it always seems a little boring and in need of some colour, an image or something else entirely. Well, I have a few basic codes for you to use, to pimp that post!
The basic codes you can use in a post:
(Note: I have added a space before every ">"-sign. To use the codes, you must remove the spaces!)
Bold text: < b > Your bold text here < /b >
Cursive text: < i > Your cursive text here < /i>
Underlined text: < u > Your underlined text here < /u>
Striked text: < strike > Your striked text here < /strike>
Colored text: < span style =" color: #color code here;" > Your colored text here < /span >
Add image: < img src= "The image web adress here" style=”width: width of image; height: height of image;” />
Little extra info! You can also use all of these in topics, even though it may seem weird to type it in the middle of your text, it really does work!
LIFEHACK NUMBER 2: How to quickly rise in levels!
So we all know that rising in levels require XP, and that XP can be gained in a few different ways!
There's no doubt that most of us really want to get to level 10, so that we can use the incredible /me function in the chat. Here's 5 ways to easily get to level 10, in just a day!
- Method number 1: Get the easy achievements.
- Easy achievements include: Get all items from one store (Go to The Magic Neep in Hogsmeade and buy 1 of each fruit! It's very little money, and an achievement right in your pocket!) and solve the daily riddles & anagrams (This gives you two achievements from doing it just the first time!)!
- Method number 2: Write in the chat! Not only is this an amazing way to get to know people, it is also helping you gain XP daily, so keep on chatting with the people in the chat!
- Method number 3: Use your owlery! Yes, you heard me correctly. Now, I do not think spamming someone elses owls is the proper way to rise in levels, but it is a fast way to do so. If you wish to use this way though, make sure the person recieving is okay with it. You can also (the better way) just have a normal chat with people in owls and gain XP that way.
- Method number 4: Buy all your school books, enroll in classes and start writing assignments! This way you gain XP, house points and even galleons for your work! It's a fun way to explore your character and build on them, but also a great way to help your house on the track to winning the house cup!
- Method number 5: When you reach level 3, you can start grading your fellow students assignments. This gains XP, points and galleons, just as above. Remember to read the grading guide first though. And when you reach level 5, you can start doing topics with your friends. This helps you gain XP and after a certain amount of replies, you will even gain achievements!
I hope all of these lifehacks helped you out, and I hope you're just as excited as me to see the blog up and running again. Until next time!
