Today's topic is the... Crup!

What does the creature look like?

The Crup looks much like muggle dogs. It looked much like a Jack Russell Terrier, but the difference is that the crup has a forked tail, but due to their appearance the tail would usually be cropped up as to not be noticed by muggles.

What is its abilities?

The Crup does not have many abilities, except being a dog. They are very loyal to wizards and witches, and were rather great scavengers, which meant they were good at finding stuff that you wanted them to find, including things and animals. They also eat pretty much anything, so they are a great warn against gnomes.

Where does it usually live?

The Crup originally came from England, where they were bred by witches and wizards. Since then, they have spread to the rest of the magical world.

How well would it be to hold as a pet?

The Crup could be a wonderful pet if you are interested in having a dog-like creature. Much of its behavior resembles the one of a dog, and they are able to be trained just like muggle dogs. While they are known to eat almost everything, this could possibly be trained away. The most important to remember about having a Crup is that they are hostile against Squibs and Muggles, making it a less great animal to hold if you regularly are visited by muggles or squibs. In that case, a normal dog much be better to hold. It is also important to remember that you need to obtain a permit to own the dog, and you have to pass a test to show you are able to handle the dog, but if you are able to do this, this lively friend would be perfect for you!
