It is a well-known fact that most of us here at WoP use famous people to represent what our characters look like, aptly named Face Claim, FC for short. But, who really are these people that we associate with our friends, coworkers, and classmates? That will be the main focus of this blog series:

Welcome back, everybody! I have returned with another Unveiling the FaceClaim, and boy oh boy do we have a treat for you today. Continuing with the House Heads theme, we have Charlotte Thane, the Flaming Lizard of the Southwast Corner, the Comfortable Chair, and most importantly, Mother of all Ouffs with us to talk about her FC!

Mama Puff Char is well-known to all the creepy-crawlies at Hogwarts, and students love her too I guess. Being a living meme has done wonders to her reputation, but what about her FC, the very person she embodies to represent her IG CHARacter (hah, see what I did there), Ruby Rose.

Ruby Rose Langenheim, born 20 March 1986, is an Australian model, actress, and television presenter. Rose came to attention as a presenter on MTV Australia (2007–2011), followed by several high-profile modelling gigs, notably as the face of Maybelline (maybe) New York in Australia, as well as co-hosting Australia's Next Top Model and The Project.
Rose pursued a career in acting from 2008 onwards and came to global attention for her role in season three of the Netflix series Orange Is the New Black. She also had large roles in the action films Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, XXX: Return of Xander Cage and John Wick: Chapter 2 and co-starred in the musical comedy Pitch Perfect 3 and The Meg. She currently stars in the Arrowverse television series Batwoman as Kate Kane / Batwoman.

Ruby has suffered a lot as a youngling due to her sexuality, but being big strong person that she is, she got through it, and is now currently one of the figureheads in the LGBT community. Using her fame and natural charisma, she teaches people how to accept themselves and others for who they are, and that there are tough times in life, but if you persevere and pull through, things will get better. Now, we have Char with us to share her experience with Ruby and her opinions in the Q&A!

1. When did you first discover Ruby, and what was your first opinion of her?
I discovered Ruby wayyyy back in year 6 of WoP thinking, ooo I really need to find an older FC for Char. Looking around for short haired actresses WITH GIFs that I could resonate with is hard because les be real ... I'm all about the gifs. My first opinion of her was oh my goodness she is H O T. I won't lie there. She has this aura about her that you just wouldn't mess with her and I feel like I too have that aura in person and my character definitely does too. I wanted someone that had a bit of kick and bite, a tendency to get caught up in things and someone not afraid to blurt out exactly what is on their mind, Ruby has all of these in the best of ways. Char ... not quite so ... ;)
2. Do you resonate with Ruby in any way? Many WoPpers feel some sort of connection to their FC's, what's yours?
May have already answered that one with the first ooops, but I will elaborate. I feel like Ruby is the kind of gal I wish I could be. I have a few of her characteristics, short hair for example, a rarely used filter, I am rather blunt and I wanted to put all of this into Char too. I am not, sadly, as tall as Ruby D: Ruby Rose has a fire about her that I could never pull off in person. Char definitely pulls it off (I like to think so anyway).
3. What are your thoughts on her and her career as of now?
Honestly she is kicking BUTT at Batwoman right now! I am highly enjoying the show (and loving getting the gifs from it - won't lie there). I love what she stands for outside of filiming and did you know she can SING? Like hella mah girl is talented and not afraid to say what she thinks. She even filmed her own surgery after performing a stunt went wrong, that girl is tough!
Bonus Question. Let's say you met Ruby at a signing or a meet&greet and you only have time to say 3 words, what would you say to her?
Three words (Ree you're killing me here). 'Keep kicking arse'.

And that wraps up today's Unveiling the FaceClaim. Keep alert for the next installment, god known when it's gonna happen, and I'll see you lovely people then. Cheers!
