Have you ever found yourself wondering how things could’ve been different with one simple decision? Perhaps you’re familiar with the butterfly effect, and know that one small change can have massive implications in the future. This series asks the hard hitting questions about our magical world, with you having an opportunity to share how you think things would have changed - for better or worse.
Everyone who comments with their ideas will receive a prize of
3 wizard cards, so make sure to take part in each week's edition! And if you have your own ideas for a Whaf If?, please owl them to Raeh Thatcher.
Time for another spirited discussion…
What if you could add one thing to make the Harry Potter books/movies just that little bit spookier?
There are definitely some scary moments (the Voldemort encounter in the first movie terrified me as a child), but for the most part these are children’s books. The obvious choice would have been to stick with some of the more book accurate and initial designs of Voldemort that leant into the snake-like nature. I think some more encounters with some of the more sinister creatures during the Harry and co’s adventures would probably have also helped (hinkypunks, red caps, Erklings and the nogtails come to mind).
How would you add a little bit more horror?
