It’s time to place your bets and pick a side…

Headmaster Harland and Minister Beckett have become rivals of sorts as they bet against each other on the simpler matters in life. There is always a consequence for the loser of every bet, and a story to tell behind each.

Join us in placing your bets in either support of Clarence Harland, or Astrid Beckett! Below you will read about the current ongoing bet, and all you need to do is decide where you lie, down below in the comments!

Each week, those within the winning bet will receive 5 wizard cards, and 2 house points, to be revealed at the start of the following week's article.

After tracking down a friend of Primrose, Astrid and Clarence finally got her to confusingly confess that nothing magical had happened to Prim, but she had simply forgotten her suncream and had burnt a bit brightly in the hot sunrays.

That means our bet winner this week is Astrid! This means Clarence is in for a consequence as Astrid makes Clarence get a Muggle ‘spray tan’ which promptly makes him a similar shade to Primrose.

The start of term is always rather eventful at the Castle, and plenty of things can go wrong. So, naturally, Clarence and Astrid got to talking about how few first year students tend to know about the Whomping Willow, and how easily they can simply… walk right up to it…

Clarence bets that no first year will wander close enough to be hurt by the old tree, as he will personally stun it if a student gets at all close

Astrid bets that children can be incredibly stupid and so given the volume of new students, it is highly likely one will be hurt by the tree within the first week
