"What is this?" you may be asking yourself.
Welcome to Backstory Bingo, which is a fun little idea I dreamt up last IG year. This will run each week during Year 45, and you'll get the chance to win some fabulous prizes along the way, all while showing your character some much needed love (or showing love to other people)!
The game is super easy, but I'll run through it quickly :D
How To Play
There are nine squares on the Bingo Sheet, the aim is to complete single a set of three in any direction you want (horizontal, diagonal or vertical)! However, if you only manage a single square or two, owl anyway, as you'll still get a little something :3
The boxes will be marked with things such as 'Find', 'Write' or maybe even 'Set' - there may be some other random ones along the way, but those will be the most common.
The rules are easy;
- Complete any row of three by Thurs 12th Feb 11:59pm (or any boxes you can manage) & owl me to let me know!
- You can play the game on as many accounts as you like, but each game needs to be entered individually (squares cannot be shared across accounts)
- You will only gain a score for one row per week, even if you complete the entire board, it will not count, but this will not impact prizes.
- Everything you select below must be completed after this NB is posted. If you already have backstory content relating to certain prompts, then feel free to simply add a bit more to it and it'll count as a whole. If you have done things like setting your birthday and updating it already, it may just mean you need to pick a different row, but this will still count if you haven't yet added it to your backstory/profile text (for example).
- You cannot use your own character that you're entering on to complete a 'Find' challenge. The point of these boxes is to read other user profiles to hunt for the information. I don't mind if profiles are shared between friends, or even if friends add text for others to meet the prompt, as long as you have checked the information directly and you agree it meets the prompt :3

This will be the only full explanation of the Tournament. In future editions I'll just link back to this and the Backstory Champions will be listed instead :P
The bingo will run on a Game score which I'll keep track of each week. Each box will have a value (4 Points), and each row also has one (15 Points). Making the maximum you can earn in a week is 15 game points if you complete a full row (or 12 points if you select three random boxes).
This is a Tournament Game, so those Points will roll to the following week, and will add to future points earned.
For example, if you completed only 2 squares in week 1, that would give you 8 Game Points. And if you managed to get a full row in Week two, that would earn you 15 Points. At the end of Week 2, your total would be 23 Points as the two would have added together.
Prizes
Weekly Participation: A food/beverage ranging between 5-12G (item will change each week)Full Board Completion: x2 Wizard Cards (+ the Participation Prize)
Every Three Editions: x10 Wizard Cards (as thanks for coming back to take part)
Tournament Winners: House Points will be awarded to the top three users on the Tournament during Week 11. The exact amount is still being agreed on with Astrid, but it may be just enough to do a 'Dumbledore' and boost your House into a winning spot (depending on the standings, who knows) :P
Every person on the Tournament Board will get a reward even if you don't get a top 3 spot!
