#2 - Uagadou

Welcome to Back to School! Each edition of this blog will focus on the major wizarding schools of the world, with our second edition covering Uagadou School of Magic.
Uagadou isn't the only magical school on the African Continent, but it's the largest and most established of them - and is the largest wizarding school in the world.
Despite this, we don't know that much about Uagadou. Students are selected to attend via a 'Dream Messenger' sent out by the Headteacher. The Messenger visits the child's dreams and leaves behind a token in their hand, often a carved stone.
Uagadou's given address is the Mountains of the Moon in Uganda - referring to the Rwenzori Mountains. The school is carved into the mountainside, and seems to float in the air on a misty day.
Uagadou students are well-versed in many forms of magic; after all, Africa is the heart of all magic. Their specialties, however, are Astronomy, Alchemy, and Self-Transfiguration - especially Animagus transformations. Students sometimes use wands, but are very adept at wandless magic, preferring to use hand gestures. The Uagadou School Team also caused upset at the International Symposium of Animagi, after their young students proved very adept in their craft, and a formal complaint was lodged (And presumably dismissed).
Uagadou's alumni are unfortunately not well-known to us, but we do know of Babajide Akingbade, who became the Supreme Mugwump after Albus Dumbledore, and Natsai Onai, who transferred to Hogwarts just before her 4th Year, after her mother was offered the Divination Professor post.
