Welcome to this weeks edition of "All about that Lime" Today I'm joined by one of our newest members of the teaching staff, Zuleika Zerola. Without further ado let's get into the interview.

Hello Zuleika ! I have a few questions for you! First off, what subject(s) do you teach, and what made you want to become a professor?

Avatar Zuleika Zerola

Hello Hazel! Glad to answer some questions!

The subject I teach is Astronomy. I think it is important to know about the phenomenons in space effect the phenomenos on earth. Like the behaviour of mooncalves and the ebb and flow of the sea. On a clear night, the stars can even help us find our way in a dark night.

Understanding space will help us understand the laws of nature. And that, though inderectly, helps us understand magic. I became a teacher, because i like sharing this important knowledge and help young students understand the phenomenons of our earth. And who knows? If you know about the universe, you might come to understand more about yourself and the part you play in it.

Very intresting! I never thought about it like that, maybe I should spend more time looking at the night sky!

If you weren't a Professor here at Hogwarts, is there a different career you would want to persue, and if so, what is it?

Avatar Zuleika Zerola

Ohlala, good question Hazel! There are so many interesting topics to study. I like being adventures and am a naturally curious person. But i also like to be creative and have freedom.

So, I think I would either look for a career in art, or study history and become an archeolist. Even so, helping others and my interest for the universe is what would drag me back to teaching astronomy anytime! Don't you think space in itself is so gorgeous it looks like a big art piece anyway? There's still so much mystery. It will never still the curiousity!

Wow, that's cool! Art is such a wonderful thing, and I'm sure you'd be amazing at whatever you do in life! but i'm glad you're our astronomy teacher

Lastly, What are you most looking forward to in your teaching years to come?

Avatar Zuleika Zerola

To be honest, I had never really thought about that haha. I just hope that by learning astronomy, students will understand we are all part of the world we live in, no matter who we are or were we come from. We all live under the same sky and that makes us all part of something bigger. Everyone has an important role to fill in the universe and I hope this knowledge, will help them grow and find a path that will guide them to right direction. A direction that will help them find a future in what they love to do. :)

Avatar Hazel Watkins

I totally get that! I personally can't wait to learn more from you about the world we live in and the universe around us.

It's been great talking to you Zuleika ! Thank you so much for letting me interview you!
