Heyo and Welcome to the first edition of What Baking Can Do.
This blog will be full of recipes and tasty treats that you can make - hoping you have the ingredients! I hope that you will enjoy these blogs and perhaps you can even try a couple of recipes at home yourselves! :D
Now, after many long hours of thinking about which recipe I should start with, I've decided to go with...
To begin with, I think we're going to need the ingredients...yes...that may be a good idea. SO, the things that you are going to need in order to make this bloody brilliant brownies are...
- 100g Butter
- 200g Chocolate Chips
- 4 Eggs
- 250g Caster Sugar
- 100g Plain Flour
- 1 Tea Spoon of Baking Powder
- 30g of Cocoa Powder
- If you have any dietary requirements then you can substitue some of these ingredients for ones that they may have in the store to suit your needs. For example, changing normal butter into dairy butter for those who cannot have ordinary milk.
And now for the messy part, the baking!
Firstly, you will need to make sure that all the ingredients have been measured out accurately depending on the amount of brownies you want. Once this is done, heat the oven to 180C/fan 160C/gas 4.
Secondly you will need to begin to whisk the sugar and eggs together until the mixture is nice and fluffy - and no I don't mean add fluff...because that's yucky!
Once this is done, you will need to add the eggs, not whole, please crack them...and then sift the flour, baking powder AND cocoa powder into the same bowl and whisk it up.
At this point you could add your chocolate chips - only if you wanted to and then continue to mix it together with a wooden spoon. And then pour it into a baking tray which should be smothered in butter OR you could put greased (lightning) baking paper on it!
And Finally! Place the tin in the oven for 25-30 minutes and BOOM, after the time is up your brownies are done!
