Have you ever wondered "What would this Harry Potter
character read if they lived nowadays? It is an interesting
question which I will try and answer in this blog! Each
blog will focus on one character from Harry Potter, and I will
give 3-5 different books that I could imagine them reading if they
lived today. Hopefully, this will also be able to give you some interesting recommendations for new and old books you need to check out!
Peeves is a character that all of us know, and either love or hate. He is known for his pranks and how he tends to play jokes on the students at Hogwarts, but if he had an interest in reading, then what would he be reading?
This book is written by
Thomas Rockwell. Billy is used to take up challenges that other gives him, and while most of them are rather weird, even crazy, he might finally have met a challenge that he can not win. His best friend Alan bets that he can not eat 15 worms in 15 days, but if Billy does it, he gets 50 dollars, which he really could use. As the bet starts going on, Alan turns on some schemes to make sure that Billy loses the bet, but will he actually lose it, or will he get the fifty dollars?
How To Eat Fried Worms is a humor book, mostly focused on entertaining young children, but for most this is a fun and easy read.

Jenny Lawson and while the book is a biography, it is written as a book filled with humor. Jenny Lawson have come to realize that the moments which usually defines us are the most bizzare and funniest ones, which is why she focuses on her strangest and most bizzare moments through her upbringing and her awkward school years, which is sure to entertain the reader with its humor and awkwardness.
Let's Pretend This Never Happened: A Mostly True Memoir is a book filled with humor, which have many have found themselves laughing about and won the Best Humor Award on Goodreads in 2012.
This book was written by
David Sedaris and is a book filled with essays about his everyday life. Even though it might not sound that humerous, David spends this book highlighting and putting focus on the strange encounters we meet in our everyday life, and the author attempts to paint out and focus on the humor that can be found in everyday situations that we all might be standing in.
Me Talk Pretty One Day was first published in 2000 and is a non-fiction book filled with essays and short stories that highlights the humor and comedy of what we go through in our everyday lives.
