Why hello there again, {%FIRSTNAME%}! Great to see you back!
Greetings, I am
Ilan Kim bringing you another edition of
Classy Adventures! If you haven't already guessed due to the title, this blog is about... the different classes taught at the castle! There will be information on these classes, some cool aesthetics, and even a little section where
you get to help fill in the blanks! Anyway, let's look into our class for today which is... Transfiguration!
─── ✧ 。.・───
What was Transfiguration like many years ago? Was it completely the same? Did people always turn matches into needles? How did all that work? Well, well, you've come to the right place!
Transfiguration has always been a very complex branch of magic- there's a lot to it. It's said to be "very hard work" and is also noted to more like science than any other form of magic, an interesting combination. And at the castle, it's considered a core class, and was once required from first to fifth year. It was also taught by many professors some of which include Albus Dumbledore and Minerva McGonagall and is now taught by Valkyrie Myres.
This class is also known for the fact that it's extremely practical and students usually have had a chance to practice the spells in class with occasional theoretical homework. Students usually learned many spells, starting with simple ones and eventually more advanced, non-verbal magic and such. An example of very advanced transfiguration magic that some students rarely might have been able to perform is becoming an animagus. Some fun and even intriguing spells learned in transfiguration were vera verto, reparifarge, match to needle, and many, many more. Now, the curriculum is still quite similar.
Overall, transfiguration takes a lot of precision, concentration, and has some very interesting spells. There's a lot to learn and not that much has changed throughout the years although perhaps the style of teaching has a little. Anyway, super cool right? Definitely take a trip to the Transfiguration classroom and I think you'll have a lot of fun with Professor Myres!

Ah, now, shall we enjoy some wonderful aesthetics?

Every new edition, there's going to be a little... adventure! This will consist of a character (note: these characters are NPCs and do not actually exist on site) having an adventure at the featured class of the week! But I'm going to need your help! How? It's up to you to
fill in the blanks. Have you ever heard of mad libs? Well, that's what we're going to be doing. Each week, there will be adjectives, nouns, all those fun stuff for you to fill out in the comments and one person's suggestions will go into the next week's adventure!
And thank you so much to everyone who filled out the mad lib last week! And this week, thank you
Sebastian Worthington for filling it out and congratulations on being featured. Ready for the adventure?
Turning a match to a book. “It’s fluffy! It’s just a match to a book.” That’s what everyone told Raey but they didn’t believe it. How could that be true? They felt suspiciously ridiculous just standing there flicking their wand, chasing that the spell might work. And now they were supposed to remember the transformation table? Confusion eased its way through Raey’s ear. They’d already been working on this for 60 minutes! Swish. Flick. Nothing changed. Raey let out a soft grumble. Oh if only the match would cooperate!
OOH could you relate with Raey's experience? Wasn't that cool? BUT let's get on with what you can comment so that next week's edition is extra fabulous!
Would you like a chance to have what you would put in the blanks featured? Well, well, next week's adventure is a surprise but whatever you might comment could definitely change the story a little! So make sure to fill this out in the comments!

I cannot wait to see what next week's adventure turns out to be and what it's like but I guess we'll have to find out! Don't forget to fill out the blanks in the comments- OH and did I mention that everyone who fills in the blanks gets a prize? So go go!
Well, well, I hope you've had a wonderful time reading this blog- I've had a great time writing it! Make sure to stay tuned for the next post and next adventure in two weeks!
Thank you for reading and make sure to go do your Transfiguration homework!
