This week, we decided to have a job appreciation post. For those with major roles that do so much in the community. We messaged them, and asked them what they do, and what they love about it!

Cordelia Scott

"I am a journalist for the Daily Prophet and what it is I am doing is writing articles each week. It is a creative job and we get a lot of freedom to what it is we want to write about, but however it has to seem realistic in this world, but that is amazing! The thing I love about the job is that we get to see the comments and reactions to our articles, which is truly amazing! I love it!"

Glinda Upland

"I am a member of the plot team. My role is to help come up with good plot ideas for the website. This involves working with the other plot team members to plan fun events for everyone to participate in. For example, we were the people behind the Great Lake Festival. When plots are in progress, we monitor topics and encourage everyone to participate. We also do competitions with great prizes to be won. I think the best thing about being on the plot team is that I basically get paid to make stuff up. I also like it when I see other people enjoying the plots we've come up with."

"I write and edit books for the library. it's really fun to put my unhealthy harry potter knowledge to use to educate others about the world."

Damien Ragnar

"My job as an AT is a really nice relaxing job. You get to grade a lot of the student's homework if the graders aren't all agreed to the same grade - you take them in and make sure they are greeted as they should. We also get homework that hasn't been graded after 2 weeks. Some of us also handle the ones with complaints; the kind of homework that the student isn't happy with the graders or the grade. I love I can read other people's homework and work on the subject I do. I often seek more knowledge in that specific area and you mostly learn more when reading other people's work. The subjects can be a little filled up some time so you need to set your mind up to, that you can get some weeks with more homework than others."

Katrina Brook

"As a Prefect, it is my job to help watch over forums and make sure all the rules are being followed. I know it sounds boring, but it is actually pretty fun, as I get to see all kinds of topics and see how people use their imagination and how their characters interact. We also have our prefect patrolling article every month that will come out every month, and my job is to help them, especially since I love to write! so make sure you are watching!

I love my job because I enjoy helping others, it makes me happy to be able to give them a smile on their face and just being present in chat or owls if someone needs to talk. My owls are always open to anyone and everyone, and I am willing to help with whatever I can! From codes to helping with roleplaying and all the in between. No matter what, I will always try to make time out of my day to help if I can!"

"As a part of the SoMe team, we all work together when thinking and making blogs, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter posts each week! It's a big job, but I really enjoy and love it! I love how much we work together as a team, and I adore being creative or sharing the latest Harry Potter news, or interviewing lovely people on WoP! It's an incredible job and I'm very thankful that we have so many wonderful boysenberries and the best leader."
