No, not Sirius Blacks’ family..
Hello dear people,
My name is Lucy Fae Lee and I will be posting a new blogpost every other week which will be revolving around all the black names this site has to offer! There are a lot of colourful names who are seen around the site, but they wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for the many black ones enjoying this world too.
So, this post is dedicated to all the blackies around and I will be interviewing one every post! Always wanted to know what the blackies are up to? Why they joined the site, what their dreamjob on this site would be and more? Please keep on reading to find out!
For our first interview ever, I searched the chat and the House Points page to pick an interesting name (and I wouldn’t be a real Eagle if my first interview wasn’t with a fellow Ravenclaw). It’s Skydin Mercer!

How did you find this site and what made you join it?
Skydin: I actually found this site through a friend IRL. We are both Harry Potter Nerds and love the whole idea in general. just the idea of this magical world where magic is so largely used, but only by basically selected individuals. Additionally, the prospect of there being a school where you can learn magic is a intriguing one indeed. I've also read the books and watched the films, so I've loved the whole thing for ages. I've always wanted to get into some kind of RP thing, be it D&D or something similar. That is where my friend comes into the picture. They told me about the site and I just disapparated right into it!

What was your inspiration for your character?
Skydin: I've always loved the idea of a character who is both mysterious because of their past or something else, yet being a loving, kind friend who will save their friend at any cost; even if it costs them their life. I found Skydin's look through a Video game character, adding my own touches onto it like the darker past, mixed eye colour and overall clothes style. The long coat is something I've always wanted to wear IRL, but never got the chance to do so. I made Skydin the way he was so he wasn't just another random person that was just ordinary. The past and family history is sort of a guideline for him, when he was being "made", even the way he acts is based on the whole idea of a wounded hero for those in need.

Who (on this site or anywhere else) do you look up to?
Skydin: When I first joined, the person I looked up to was actually the Headmistress, Mrs Arkwright. She is so kind and a marvellous witch who does all she can to help those struggling with either their past or even present troubles. Overall, I just love her amazing nature and kind attitude towards everyone she meets. She not only bands everyone together, but supports them in everything that they do. (oh my god why so mushy, Min pees on everyone)

What is your dream job for your character?
Skydin: This is where the whole "family history" comes into play. You see, Skydin's father, mother, and grandparents on both sides of the family are all workers for the Ministry of Magic in the defensive line. So his father and his parents, were all Aurors before their untimely deaths in Skydin's young childhood. His mother on the other hand, and her parents went into the line of the Magical Law Enforcement Squad direction. It was only natural for Izabella, his mother, and Harvis to meet, given their roles in their work place. So, following their family tradition and his own ambition, Skydin's dream job is to become an Auror for the Ministry of Magic; to protect the innocent from Dark Witches and Wizards, Dangerous creatures like Acromantula and Dementors or even going so far as to stop a dangerous criminal.
