Why hello there, {%FIRSTNAME%}!
Greetings, I am
Ilan Kim bringing you the first very edition of
Classy Adventures! If you haven't already guessed due to the title, this blog is about... the different classes taught at the castle! There will be information on these classes, some cool aesthetics, and even a little section where
you get to help fill in the blanks! Anyway, let's look into our class for today which is... Muggle Studies!
─── ✧ 。.・───
So, are you wondering what Muggle Studies was like years ago? It probably wasn't quite the same as it is now, right? Or was it? Well, well, let's take a peek into the history!
Years and years ago, Muggle Studies started out being an optional class that students would take as part of the non-magical studies track. It was taught by numerous professors, some of which include Quirinus Quirrell, Arif Sikander, Charity Burbage, and was recently taught by Waylen Choi. Another professor has yet to step up but that should happen soon enough.
Much like today, many people seem to think of Muggle Studies with scorn, saying that it's extremely unnecessary. But there's the other side of those claims that disagree; Percy Weasley even expressed how important he thought Muggle Studies, explaining that "...I personally think wizards should have a thorough understanding of the non-magical community particularly if they're thinking of working in close contact with them..." So while some do say that it's unnecessary, others bring up the point that it could be very good information to have. But to me, it does make complete sense if you grew up in the Muggle world to not take the class.
So what were some subjects and information that people learned many years ago and how does it compare to now? Muggle Studies back then was pretty similar to how it is now. It still involves the history and daily lives of muggles and those who take it usually learn about subjects like electricity, technology, and science.
Let's hear a few words from Waylen Choi right now about Muggle Studies and some subjects that are currently being taught (as the new teacher has not been found yet).
"From their daily life, to notleague, technology, amazing places all the way to the rockets! If you're invested in muggles, and want to learn more of what makes them different from us (other than magic), enroll in the Muggle Studies class! Get to take pictures of cheese, and learn about toasters, my favourite thing in the entire world!" - Waylen the toaster lover
AH that sounds like so much fun! Well, well, that's what current Muggle Studies has to offer (as of now) so if you do decide to take a trip to the Muggle Studies classroom with
Waylen the toaster lover Professor Choi, I think it'll be great fun!

Ah, now, shall we enjoy some wonderful aesthetics?

Every new edition, there's going to be a little... adventure! This will consist of a character (note: these characters are NPCs and do not actually exist on site) having an adventure at the featured class of the week! But I'm going to need your help! How? It's up to you to
fill in the blanks. Have you ever heard of mad libs? Well, that's what we're going to be doing. Each week, there will be adjectives, nouns, all those fun stuff for you to fill out in the comments and one person's suggestions will go into the next week's adventure!
But since this is the first edition and there wasn't all of you to fill in the blanks in the comments, one of my friends helped out! Thank you to
Aerolynn Versity for filling this one out for all of you to read! Ready for the adventure?
Daiyu stared at the ancient rubber scissors in her hand. Muggle Studies. She certainly hadn't expected stealing about this! But, at least she could have fun maybe? Tossing a piece of her right pinky toe aside, Daiyu dipped the rubber scissors into the water. Her friend Sage was roasting towards her quickly. SPLASH! Curtain rod erupted from the rubber scissors and landed on Daiyu's arm. "Ack!" she called out, "I'll get you back for that!"How awesome was that? Daiyu's adventure was certainly interesting, huh? BUT let's get on with what you can comment so that next week's edition is extra fabulous!
Would you like a chance to have what you would put in the blanks featured? Well, well, next week's adventure is a surprise but whatever you might comment could definitely change the story a little! So make sure to fill this out in the comments!
- noun
- adjective
- adverb
- verb ending in ing
- noun
- part of the body
- duration of time
I cannot wait to see what next week's adventure turns out to be and what it's like but I guess we'll have to find out! Don't forget to fill out the blanks in the comments- OH and did I mention that everyone who fills in the blanks gets a prize? So go go!
Well, well, I hope you've had a wonderful time reading this blog- I've had a great time writing it! Make sure to stay tuned for the next post and next adventure in two weeks!
Thank you for reading and make sure to go do your Muggle Studies homework!
